NBA Recap
Rudy Gay's field goal in the last minute of play gave the Raptors a 109-108 win over the Nuggets. Ty Lawson led all players with 29 points and also had 9 assists.
In Miami, Chris Bosh played a great game scoring 32 points and securing 11 rebounds in the Heat's 117-104 defeat of the Trail Blazers.
The Kings' 4th quarter come back came up short against the Grizzlies as Memphis held on for a 108-101 win. Marc Gasol was player of the game with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
In the upset of the night, the Utah Jazz defeated the Thunder 109-94. The game was close until the 4th quarter when the Jazz started to take off. Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 33 points while Al Jefferson of the Jazz scored 23.
Dwight Howard and Antawn Jamison both scored 19 as the Lakers narrowly defeated the Suns 91-85.
James Harden of Houston and Stephen Curry of Golden State both scored 27 points in Houston's 116-107 victory. Jeremy Lin also had 10 assists for the Rockets.
All NBA
Guard- Ty Lawson- Denver Scored 29 points in addition to 9 assists and 3 steals. From the field he was 12-20 and from the line he was 4-6. Committed 2 turnovers while also grabbing a board.
Forward- Lebron James- Miami *Player of the Night* Shot 73.3% from the field on 15 attempts to finish with 30 points. Also dished out 9 assists while only committing one turnover. Played well off the ball getting 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.
Forward- Kevin Durant- OK City Led the NBA in scoring with 33 points shooting 11-16 from the field and 3-4 from 3 pt land. Shot a very good 8-9 from the line and also grabbed 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Forward- Chandler Parsons- Houston Scored 21 points and also dished out 9 assists. On the boards he had 8 rebounds.
Center- Chris Bosh- Miami Outdid Lebron last night on the scoring side of things putting 32 up. He also grabbed 11 rebounds. He shot 13-16 from the field and a perfect 6-6 from the line.
NHL Recap (this will be quick)
The Hurricanes beat the Devils 4-2. Jiri Tlusty scored 2 goals for the second straight game.
In a shootout, the Rangers defeated the Bruins 4-3. All the Bruins goals were in the third period so the Rangers were lucky to hold on til the shootout.
Craig Anderson had 42 saves in the Senators 2-0 win over the Sabres.
In another shootout the Canadiens defeated the Lightning 4-3. David Desharnais scored the only goal in the shootout.
Colin Wilson's goal in overtime was the only goal of the game during the Predators' 1-0 win over the Sharks.
The Capitals defeated the Panthers 6-5 in overtime. Alex Ovechkin scored his 5th goal of the year.
The Flyers somehow beat the Jets. Rookies Tye McGinn and Brayden Schenn scored for the Flyers.
In another close game the Ducks defeated the Blackhawks 3-2. The game went to a shootout so the Hawks have still not lost in regulation.
In a bit of a blowout, the Stars defeated the Oilers 4-1. The game was tied going into the third period but the Stars pulled away.
Lastly, The Canucks defeated the Wild 2-1. Luongo started in goal so it seems that he has the starting job locked up.
All NHL
Forward- Patrice Bergeron- Boston Had an assist in the loss to the Rangers and also played well defensively. 2 blocks and 2 takeaways.
Forward- Jonathan Toews- Chicago Also had one assist but had 3 takeaways.
Forward- Nicklas Bastrom- Washington Had 2 assists including one on the powerplay. Knocked down two Panthers.
Defense- Victor Hedman- Tampa Bay 3 hits and 3 blocked shots in addition to two goals.
Defense- Francois Beauchemin- Anaheim The guy with a long name had one assist but also had 6 hits, 3 blocks, and one takeaway.
Goalie-Craig Anderson- Ottawa Obvious choice blocking 42 of 42 shots in the 2-0 defeat of the Sabres.
